CSFC Grading
Grading is an essential part of ensuring our players have the best possible experience on thefield. Here's everything you need to know about grading this season:

Why is Grading Important?
At Cronulla Seagulls FC, we believe football should be fun, fair, and development-focused. Grading allows us to:
-
Match players with similar abilities to ensure balanced teams and fair competition.
-
Promote confidence and growth by providing challenges appropriate to each player’s skill level.
-
Encourage enjoyment of the game by reducing frustration caused by mismatched abilities.
Our grading philosophy is simple: the right level for the right player, to foster development, teamwork, and love for the game.
Who Needs to Attend Grading?
Grading is compulsory for players in U6 to U16, regardless of whether they are in friendship teams or not. This requirement is supported by the Association and Football NSW to maintain fairness in grassroots football.
-
U6: Team-level grading ensures placement in the appropriate grade.
-
U7-U11: Individual grading for players trialling for top-grade teams; team grading for friendship groups.
-
U12-U16: Full individual grading as all teams in these age groups are competitive.
When and Where?
Grading sessions will take place at 5Sports (125 Boulevarde, Caringbah) starting from early February.
The full grading schedule is available will be posted in mid January

Our Commitment
Our independent Grading Committee, comprising experienced coaches and senior players, conducts the process with integrity, transparency, and fairness. They assess technical skills, game awareness, teamwork, and attitude during small-sided and full-size games.
We aim to accommodate friendship team requests wherever possible, especially in non-competitive age groups. However, please understand that competitive divisions require balanced teams to ensure a positive experience for all.
